Viva George Bush!
6.27.07

Why are the GOPers wanting to rebel against Bush? Did he not uphold our platform?

How quickly how some of the GOPers forget. Aren't we the party for Enforcing Trade Agreements and Opening New Markets? The comprehensive immigration reform President Bush was very much in support of would have continued to advance the American economic goals. To achieve this goal, we must put the globalism thinking hat on and approve bills that would continue to put us at the economic forefront in global marketplace we live in.

What else did some of those GOPers forget? They forgot that our nation has been enriched by immigrants seeking a better life. In many cases, immigrants of the past fled violence and oppression searching for peace and freedom. All suffered and sacrificed but hoped for a better future for their children in America. Our nation has been enriched by their determination, energy, and diversity. Ensuring the integrity of our borders is vital to ensuring the safety of our citizens, and we must know the identity of all visitors who enter the United States, and we must knowwhen they leave. We could have accomplished this goal by increasing more work visas as a means to better track the entry and exit of foreign travelers.

What else did some of the GOPers forget? They forgot to create economic policies in terms of the incentives we should have created, rather than the goals they declared. Consequences matter more than intentions. What is going to be the consequence of this bill?

  1. Millions will continue to live in the shadows of society.
  2. Businesses will be put out of business affecting their local/state communities.
  3. Prices of goods and services will increase as a result labor scarcity.
  4. The republican party will lose more of the Latino swing vote (very important these days).
  5. The Libertarian Party will grow to name a few.

What else did some of the GOPers forget? They forgot their supposed religious values. It is common knowledge that many in the Republican party are those who are in this party for moral reasons. In fact, many are on this side because of their strong Christian and religious convictions such as pro-life, anti-gay marriage, the ten commandments, keeping God in the Pledge of Allegiance and things of that nature. I think the one thing that I am most let down by is not because we worked against Capitalism ideals and how it related to the immigration issue, nay, it is because several GOP hypocrites have no knowledge nor understanding of Christ's compassion. They quote the law but they also forgot that the Slavery Law was once legal, too. The Slave Law needed to be done away with and that vigorous and violent task was championed by our very first Republican President, Abe Lincoln. Many moral GOPers want to turn a blind eye to remember that Christ broke the Sabbath Law to feed the hungry. Ah yes, the hungry. Didn't he instruct us to feed the poor and give water to the thirsty? Except in this case, many are too proud to ask for handouts.....they chose to work hard instead.

Let it be understood by all that there was one GOPer who did have compassion in his heart -- good ol' President George W. Bush. That is one man I would take a bullet for any day. He is a fine, fine President and will go down in the history books as a legend, and as the person who tried to be the champion for those who continue to live in the Shadows of Society. God Bless George W. Bush, and may he live long. Viva Bush!

Help Your Neighbor
6.24.07

Well folks, here it is -- probably the final week on the immigration reform issue. Unless I’m mistaken, the debate will start on Tuesday. What will be the outcome of this emotional issue? Have you made your calls to your legislators for your fellow man? Do you believe that your goodness to those who are hungry will penetrate people to their core and change their lives forever? Do you hope? I digress.

There are a couple of hot issues with regard to what President Bush is doing, one of which pertains to the Iraq War. Many Democrats clamor that it is an “illegal” war because Saddam did not have Weapons of Mass destruction, and they maintain that the
United States has no business being in that country. Personally, I think we needed to go in there and take care of business. I’m sure there are other reasons why we are there, but one of the most important things is that we had to go in there and stop Saddam, the evil dictator. After all, Saddam was responsible for the deaths of over 600,000 Shiites, whom he buried in mass graves. Do you doubt he would be working on another 600,000 had the United States not taken a stance against him? Because of our invasion of Iraq, an evil man lies six feet under, and now we need to finish the job in the name of giving others Democracy.

Ah, yes . . . Democracy. Everyone wants it. And those of us who are freedom fighters to our core, truly want to share the tastes of Freedoms with others . . . such as Freedom to Worship, and Freedom from Want.

Now the other issue: Immigration. While Democrats clamor about the “illegal” war, my counterparts are complaining about the “illegal” immigrants. Yet they do not see what I see. I see inconsistencies in their arguments. Here we are supporting the Iraq War (I have always supported being against tyranny and fighting same), and yet, they are not in support of extending the Democracy to millions who have been working here in the United States, providing us with the economic freedoms American citizens have been enjoying since the Reagan administration. My counterparts want to finish the war in
Iraq, but they don’t want to extend that same compassion and freedoms to those who are already here working and building and living the American Dream. We need to document the undocumented, and I think we should do it with George W. Bush’s Mont Blanc pen, and under the name of goodness and compassion. I know deep down in my heart we will win the hearts of those we extend our hearts to.

We have a so-called “illegal” war, and we have a so-called “illegal immigrant” issue. I say to all, if you are going to argue an issue -- at least be consistent! I believe we need to spread democracy – here and there.

I think I’m finally numb and exhausted with this issue. I’m done, and am not looking to persuade the restrictionists and protectionists any longer. They are a stiff-necked people. The purpose of this letter is to unravel the questions in my own mind onto paper, primarily because it cleanses me.

So why am I sorry? I am sorry to those who believed in my party at one time or another and are now looking into the 3rd party. My prayer is that they come back and take the party to help make it to be the party of Abe Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. I am especially sorry to those whom I have been trying to win over to the right side (mostly due to the pro-life and traditional values), because my counterparts should have more of a compassionate and consistent attitude. I’m sorry for their lack of vision that Reagan had and I hope you see that the other half of the GOPers share economic views similar to mine. My only source and hope is in the Creator. I will continue to call and write e-mails, and if anything gets passed it will be because the One has heard the cries.

Sincerely,

DD
